People always asked me how do I find time to do the things I do. The answer really lies in the simplicity and priority.
My weekdays are pretty routine but very fulfilling - in the morning, send Tasha to school and be at work by 8 so that I am home by 5.30 p.m. to spend time with Tasha. On accasional days, I take time off work to join my friends to play golf in the morning and be in the office by lunch.
I am very disciplined when it comes to leaving the office on time, just as I am disciplined in arriving early at work, and I don't make any exceptions for anyone - not even for the Clients. This used to be a point of complaints by colleagues and Clients. But those comments eventually faded away and everybody now worked their schedule around my departure time. To ensure consistency with the rule application, I always have my office door closed at 5, whether or not I am in the office. That's 9 hours of my 24 and it is more than enough contribution for my self esteem and to the society.
The happiest time in the day for me is between 5.30 to 8 where I spend time with Tasha cycling, walking, swimming, watching TV or sometimes, just lying in her bed watching her complete her homework.
8 to 10 is my fun time, doing things I love. It is my time for Franco, tennis, personal training, Mandarin lesson, running, reading, whatever my heart desires.
And then it is time to go to bed and the day starts again - with all its predictability but never a dull moment.
